DMCA Policy
Last updated: May 2026 | Reviewed by OPTV Support Team
This page sets out how OPTV UK handles copyright notices. We respect the intellectual property of rights holders and respond to properly submitted notices in good faith. If you believe content associated with our services infringes your copyright, please read this page before submitting a notice so the process is as quick as possible.
Our position on copyright
OPTV UK does not authorise the use of our service or our brand to facilitate copyright infringement. We expect customers, partners, and resellers to comply with applicable copyright law in their jurisdiction. Misuse of any account is a breach of our terms and will be dealt with accordingly.
How to submit a notice
To submit a copyright notice, send a written communication to the OPTV Support Team via a support ticket or our general contact route. Notices submitted through other channels may be delayed.
Required information for a notice
For a notice to be actionable, please include the following:
- Your full name, organisation (if applicable), postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, or, if multiple works, a representative list.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URLs, account references, or service identifiers).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on its behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may be returned for clarification. This is not us refusing the notice; it is us asking for the information we need to act on it.
Counter-notification procedure
If you are an account holder and your material has been affected by a notice that you believe was filed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. A counter-notification should include:
- Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the material that was affected and its location before it was acted on.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was affected as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court and will accept service of process from the notice-submitting party.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Repeat infringer policy
Accounts that are the subject of repeated valid copyright notices may be suspended or terminated. We will use reasonable judgement in deciding what constitutes repeat infringement, and we will not act on notices that we have good reason to believe are abusive or filed in bad faith.
False notices
Submitting a notice in bad faith, or making material misrepresentations in a notice, may expose the sender to legal liability. Please review the requirements above before submitting.
Use the support ticket route so the OPTV Support Team can route your notice to the correct person. Please include the information listed above to avoid delays.
